Joint Student Open Day at Monash Medical Centre
Wed 17 August 2011, 5 -7.30pm
If you missed the Open Day, you can still find out about research projects on offer by downloading our Student Handbook 2012 where supervisor details are provided with each project. Find a project or research area that interests you and email the supervisor to organise time for either a chat or a visit. You should do this sooner, rather than later! Ask them about our Vacation Scholarship program, this is a great way to gain experience in a research laboratory.
Prince Henry's Institute (PHI), Monash Institute of Medical Research (MIMR) and Southern Clinical School (SCS) form a significant medical research precinct at Monash Medical Centre. We are currently training over 160 postgraduate research students in medical research and clinical care.
PHI is a world leader in the field of endocrinology. Our research themes cover cancer, cardiovascular disease, genes & healthy development, men’s health, and women’s health.
All students at PHI are enrolled through university departments, but carry out their research projects at PHI. We have students from many Victorian universities (including Monash, Melbourne, Deakin, Swinburne, and RMIT).
