Profile & Research Interests

Dr Frances Milat graduated in medicine at Monash University and subsequently undertook her endocrinology fellowship at Southern Health and St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney.

She pursued her research interests in metabolic bone disorders, completing a Doctor of Medicine degree at St Vincent's Institute examing the mechanisms of PTH and the Wnt pathway action in bone.

She joined Prince Henry's Institute in 2009 to continue her research interest in both clinical disorders of bone metabolism and molecular mechanisms of bone remodelling.

She is an endocrinologist at Monash Medical Centre, with an interest in osteoporosis, women's health and general endocrinology.
